This artwork brings together different periods of my textile work, combining commercial batiks, my own hand-painted fabrics, and crocheted elements.
The soft purple shapes suggest islands floating within a landscape of green. The contrasting fabrics create movement and rhythm, while the crocheted textures introduce another dimension to the surface.
I have always been fascinated by the possibilities of combining different materials and techniques. Here, the textures are not simply embellishments. They become part of the composition, inviting the viewer to look more closely.
The title *Re-mix* reflects my continuing interest in revisiting earlier work, discovering new relationships between familiar materials, and allowing an artwork to take on a new life.
For me, this piece is about movement, connection, and the pleasure of discovering something unexpected in materials I know so well.
