This is one of my larger abstract works, and it developed gradually through many changes.
I began thinking about inner landscapes — the personal territories we carry within ourselves, shaped by experience, memory and change.
The forms extend beyond the usual rectangular boundaries, and I wanted the composition to feel as though it could continue growing.
During the process, I removed some elements that had originally seemed important. Gradually, the composition became stronger and more open.
The lines and shapes suggest movement across an imagined landscape, sometimes structured and sometimes flowing.
I think of this work as a kind of map, but not one that leads to a particular destination.
It's a landscape of possibilities.
